Well.. yeah, I've seen the post from a fellow blogger about this movie, so I quickly downloaded it... Love of Siam...

It's a story about gay romance of 2 teenage boys... I don't want to go into details anymore cause I want you guys to see it as well (well, if you haven't seen it).... This story really pinched my heart.. The kilig and the melodramatic scenes are well done.. It really captured me...

So the worlwide launch of the new iphone happened this morning. Many people lined up outside the cellphone stores in the US, Ireland, Japan and other major countries. They even have a digitial clock outside their stores that serves as a countdown to get the new Iphone. But let's check the people's comments...

Most of the buyers were really excited to get this new phone. However, there are also some people who were dissapointed.

On top of their dissapointment list is the 2 megapixel camera. Oh yeah, with the latest models of other cellphone brands that manufactures up to 5 megapixel, this iphone is a loser. Still doesn't have the flash. Most of the consumers I guess are cam whores, that's why they like better camera. They had all the time to improve this.
 
The price is good, you can get it for as low as $199, but you have a 2 year contract with the phone provider. In Japan, you can get the Iphone for $215. Here in the Philippines, not sure yet. Though I already contacted someone from Globe (official provider for Iphone) to check when will it be available. I have this feeling that it will only be available if you also sign a contract with them. But I have to update you as soon as I get a message regarding this.

Another thing, consumers were also a bit dissapointed because of photo messaging. It's still not available on this phone.

Comparing this new 3G Iphone to the old Iphone, I can say, there's really no big difference at all. If you're going to buy one,  it will only serve as a "chick" or "boy" magnet. Lol. Again, 3G network sucks here in the Philippines. 

Nokia Cellphone makers should not be afraid of this new toy, as of the moment.

Venus Williams reaches Wimbledon final for the 7th time!

She will either face her younger sister Serena or Zhen Jie in Saturday's final.

*Not really a big fan of tennis, but I love watching it.  I remember two weeks ago, when I got confined in St. Luke's due to dehydration, I was just watching Tennis almost the whole day. There was a nurse who asked me who's my favorite player. (not so related from the post, but I'm just so amazed that nurses in St.Luke's are like that, they are very good in rapport building).

I should post and entry about my stay on that hospital, I think they deserve it.

Technology nowadays are really so cool. Let's see the item on top of my list!

1. The New Apple Iphone 3g - The iphone is a combination of 3 products; a mobile phone, a widescreen Ipod and an Internet Device. It has a very nice graphical user interface that makes it flashy and catchy. Last year it was introduced by Apple in the US and Europe and it was only licensed to some mobile companies like AT&T.

This July 2008, Apple will be introducing a new version of the Iphone. This time, faster and better! Let's check out some specifications that I know based from the reviews and press releases from the internet. I hope this is really something better!

First of all the looks:



Specs:

Memory - It comes with 8gb and 16gb version. If you're the kind of guy who likes to download a lot of stuff, like music, torrent files (ooopss!) or some applications, this phone will surely suffice your needs.

Camera - This is not for the cam whores. With it's 2 megapixel camera? Not really a nice camera phone. If I'm not mistaken, this can't even record a video ( you can, but you have to download a specific application)

MMS - Receiving photos and videos is a pain in the ass. To check the message you have to go to a certain website for you to check it.

Browsing - I can say that this must be one of the nicest feature of this phone. It's WIFI ready that makes it's perfect for browsing and downloading.

Music Player - Technically, this is more of an Ipod than a phone. So yeah, good for Music Lovers like me!

Interface - Perfect! Just flashy and cool. With it's touchscreen feature, you can easily choose whatever application you like. For messaging and emails, it uses a virtual QWERT keyboard, at first it's very hard to use it (most specially for people who have big fingers!) but when you get used to it, it's very simple!

Messaging - It's like chatting! If you're replying to a text message, you can view the previous conversations you had. However, this phone is not for spammers, coz they can't forward quote messages and jokes! They have to re-type it!

GPS - Yes! But I don't think it's gonna work here in the Philippines.

3G Network - Well this the newest thing on this phone, but knowing the 3G availability on this country, I don't know.

According to Apple, it will be released worldwide by July 11, with a price of only $199 ( approximately 8k+). However, not sure though if the $199 price requires a 2 year contract, this is what I heard from a cousin in the states.

Apple Iphone 3g will be released through selected Mobile Companies also. Here in the Philippines, it will be distributed exclusively by Globe Telecoms. But then again, I'm quite sure that hackers already found out a way to unlock these phones.

But then again, I want one to check it myself! I can't wait! I might ask my mom or cousin to get me an iphone 3g in the US and just have it shipped here, I think it would be cheaper, if there's really a contract, they can handle that! Lol.

I had the chance to see the movie version of Stephen King's The Mist.

I must say, Stephen King is really a genius! I liked the story very much, plus the different personalities and ideals clashing on the story. The moral of the story is all about faith. Sometimes, when bad things happens, we should not loose our faith in God. He's the driving force to every success.

The movie ended nice! I kinda felt that I was the protagonist struggling for survival. At the end, he had to kill his own son and other survivors because of hopelessness and just right after he pulled the triggered, rescue came and hope existed. Sometimes, it happens to us, when shit occurs, we tend to always go for only one option. There are many choices in life all we need to do is lay all the cards then choose the appropriate one. Anyhoo... I'll rate this movie 9/10.
